Milwaukee Bucks vs Miami Heat Game 1 Recap

Milwaukee Bucks vs Miami Heat Game 1 Recap

The Milwaukee vs Miami series was always going to be interesting, and the first game lived up to the hype. The OT thriller was really fantastic to watch as Khris Middleton scored a midrange jumper with 0.5 seconds left to put the Bucks up by 2 in OT.

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo didn't have the best of games but Duncan Robinson made 7 threes on the way to 24 points and the vet Goran Dragic scored 25 for the Heat. Jimmy Butler scored the game-tying points in regulation. Goran Dragic also came out clutch as he hit a three to tie it up with 20.6 seconds left. But alas, they were defeated by Khris Middleton's midrange jumper. Middleton finished with a game-high 27 PTS, along with 6 REB and 6 AST for the Bucks, while Giannis Antetokounmpo added 26 PTS, 18 REB and 5 AST in the victory. Goran Dragic tallied 25 PTS, 2 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, while Duncan Robinson added 24 PTS, 2 AST, 2 REB on 7-13 3PT shooting.

1. The Heat offense failed without Jimmy Butler and Bam but was kept alive on fumes by Goran and Robinson. Jimmy has to step up like he did last year if they want to come close to beating this rejuvenated Milwaukee team.

2. Middleton stepped up at the right moment to provide the Bucks a secondary option after Giannis. It showed they don't need a Giannis monster game every game to beat the Heat.

3. Goran Dragic played amazingly but needs the support of Jimmy and/or Bam to win a game. He is not a first option to win a game by himself. He is a good passer, scorer and can lift a team to victory with the help of other players.
